XL Vintage Inspired

I was stunned to discover this young designer. Alison Kelly was a participant on the fashion reality show Project Runway but has come into her own with a collection of delicate, vintage inspired and absolutely feminine pieces.
The suprise for me was the sizing! As a full figured girl i can share with you how hard it is to find vintage pieces or independent new designers producing garments in relatively large sizes. Her XL is actually extra large ;)
Go have a look at her collection over at Dahl by Alison Kelly

Updated website and new online shop!

After a long hiatus...
(you can blame Whitebox -check out http://www.blogbywhitebox.blogspot.com/ and our Facebook Fan Page- and filling out wholesale orders)
...i am back!

The website is updated and streamlined, as i decided to go for a new online shopping format, hopefully easier to update and maintain!

You can find the 2 new Summer collections *Fly Like a Bird* and *Sweet Tooth* as well as my new venture into a clothing line, fashioned after Original vintage patterns in pure silk, embellished with lace, crochet and chiffon detailing. Also i will always have some limited one-of-a-kind pieces, revamped from original vintage jewelry.

Take a peek and promise to ...see you soon :)

Amazing Recycled Vintage

I discovered a talented designer on Etsy.com a while ago and wanted to share with the rest of you vintage junkies :)

She utilizes antique and vintage pieces in her clothing and jewelry but the piece de resistance is her handmade corset. So popular they have been on Etsy, she was overwelmed with orders!

Check out her work and add her to your favourites, as it is well worth checking back often to see her listings.

Cool Moo

I thought I'd share a cool link I found recently through an indie forum...

A company called MOO prints cute mini cards you can use as promos, business or calling cards, as well as small sticker books, postcards etc.
They have a cool option where you can have up to 100 different cropped images for 100 long and lean mini cards so you have a variety of images and on the back you get several lines of text. These cost about $20 for 100 mini cards.

I am thinking of ordering some thank you or coupon cards myself...You could even use these for clothing and handbag tags.

Visit http://www.moo.com/ for more details and have fun uploading and cropping images :)

p.s. might get stuck while uploading many images, I suggest you disconnect and try loading again!
